Serges Ngassa: The Man Behind the Vision
Born into a family of Cameroonian farmers, Serges Ngassa first ventured into the worlds of hospitality and humanitarian work—yet always felt called back to his roots.
In 2011, he founded Cocoa Valley, turning his vision of sustainable agriculture into reality by planting his first cacao trees in the rich soils of Ayos, Cameroon.
Now crafting from Switzerland, he transforms this exceptional cocoa into refined chocolates—each one telling a unique story of passion, purpose, and commitment.

Since 2011, when Carine and Serges took the bold leap of creating Cocoa Valley—a chocolate brand for every moment, offering a journey to the heart of Swiss excellence.
“Our key differentiator is our ‘farm-to-bar’ approach, meaning we are artisans who control the entire process from bean to bar.”
We cultivate our own cacao trees in Cameroon, nurturing them every step of the way. From the soil to the harvest, and from fermentation and drying to roasting and the final composition of the chocolate—we master the entire journey.
While most chocolatiers purchase harvests, we do everything ourselves to guarantee each chocolate’s authenticity, quality, and soul. This approach creates unique chocolates expressing the true essence of our terroir.
